“I will extol You, O Lord, for You have drawn me up... Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” — Psalm 30:1-5

Psalm 30 reminds us of God's incredible mercy. David wrote these words after experiencing both the consequences of his own sin and the overwhelming grace of God. Even in judgment, God showed mercy.

Maybe you're in a season of despair, disappointment, loneliness, or heartbreak. Whatever brought you here – your own choices, someone else's, or circumstances beyond your control – remember this: it is a season, and seasons do not last forever.

God never intended for us to carry our burdens alone. He invites us to bring every fear, failure, and disappointment to Him. Cry out honestly. If words fail you, know that your tears are prayers too. Even whispering the name of Jesus is enough for Him to hear your heart.

Our Father longs to heal, restore, and free us from the burdens that keep us bound. But freedom begins with surrender – acknowledging that we cannot fix ourselves apart from Him. Temporary solutions may numb the pain, but only God brings lasting healing.

Surrender doesn't have to be elaborate. Sometimes it is as simple as lying in bed and praying, "God, I don't know anymore. I can't do this on my own. Please help me." That simple prayer opens the door for God to work.

Will everything change overnight? Maybe not. But God's promises never fail. As we believe that Jesus died for every broken, hidden, and sinful part of us, trust begins to grow. Trust strengthens our faith, and faith anchors us through every season.

So if you're weeping today, don't lose heart. Morning is coming. God's joy is your strength, His mercy is new every morning, and He is faithful to finish the work He has begun in you.
